Bottom Dollar Food Charitable Foundation Grants Make Big Impact On Non-Profits And Communities
Over the past several weeks, the Bottom Dollar Food Charitable Foundation has presented grants to non-profit organizations working to fight hunger across the discount grocer’s footprint.
“Thank you for choosing Keystone Opportunity Center’s pantry to be one of the recipients of a grant,” said Cindy Dembrosky, food pantry coordinator for Keystone Opportunity Center in Souderton, Pa. “We will be purchasing produce from that store with the grant money that was given to us. This will be such a blessing to have fresh produce for our families during the winter months before the garden season really takes off in the summer.”
“Trumbull Mobile Meals is blessed to receive this grant for our sliding scale program,” said Sandra Matthews, director of Trumbull Mobile Meals in Warren, Ohio. “This program provides meals to individuals who cannot afford the full cost of home delivered meals. We can’t thank Bottom Dollar enough for helping Trumbull Mobile Meals to achieve its mission to ensure that ‘No One Goes Hungry’ in our community.”
“We are so appreciative of the support from the Bottom Dollar Food Charitable Foundation, and also for the generosity of our local Bottom Dollar store!” said Donna Little, executive director of Rainbow Kitchen Community Services in Homestead, Pa.
“Thank you for selecting our program for this grant,” added Susan Mackey of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden, N.J. “We serve over 400 a day Monday to Friday, and this will enable us to continue our program.”
The deadline for applications for the Bottom Dollar Food Charitable Foundation’s next grants cycle is coming up quickly on March 15.
