SALISBURY, N.C – Bottom Dollar Food invites its customers to meet the popular piggy bank blimp “live” at select locations throughout the greater Philadelphia area as he embarks on a monthlong virtual road trip, which kicks off today.

Customers may recognize the piggy bank blimp from his humorous, witty commercials, and for the first time, the famed piggy bank blimp will make “live” appearances at various Bottom Dollar Food stores. Customers will have the opportunity to take a photo with the Bottom Dollar Food icon against fun backdrops that will appear virtually via green screen technology.

“The piggy bank blimp is growing in popularity, and we wanted to provide our customers an opportunity to see him up close,” said Bottom Dollar Food Director of Marketing Leslie Atkinson. “The beauty of green screen magic is customers will have the opportunity to choose from multiple backgrounds – from well-known local landmarks to more obscure such as the moon!”

To participate, customers must show proof of recent purchase and their Bottom Dollar Food membership card. Participants will also need to provide a valid email to retrieve their picture electronically to print or share online via social media. Customers who have their photo taken with the piggy bank blimp will receive a special coupon to receive $5 off of their next purchase of $20 or more.
