Bottom Dollar Food Invites Customers To Meet Its Signature Piggy Bank Blimp, Take A Fun Photo

SALISBURY, N.C– On the heels of opening its newest stores in the greater Pittsburgh market, Bottom Dollar Food invites customers to meet the popular piggy bank blimp "live" at select locations throughout the greater Pittsburgh and Youngstown, Ohio, areas as he embarks on a month long virtual road trip, which kicked off today.

Customers may recognize the piggy bank blimp from his humorous, witty commercials, and for the first time, the famed piggy bank blimp will make "live" appearances at 16 Bottom Dollar Food stores. Customers will have the opportunity to take a photo with the Bottom Dollar Food icon against fun backdrops that will appear virtually via green screen technology.

"The piggy bank blimp is growing in popularity, and we wanted to provide our customers an opportunity to see him up close," said Bottom Dollar Food Director of Marketing Leslie Atkinson. "The beauty of green screen magic is customers will have the opportunity to choose from multiple backgrounds - from well-known area landmarks to more obscure destinations such as the moon!"

To participate, customers must show proof of recent purchase and their Bottom Dollar Food membership card. Customers who have their photo taken with the piggy bank blimp will be able to download their photo from the Bottom Dollar Food photo sharing website, and will also then receive a special coupon valued at $5 off of their next purchase of $30 or more.each of the three Youngstown stores will receive two tickets to the Youngstown State University Football opening home game on Sept. 8. Restrictions will apply.
